Visit to the Bayreuth Festspiele, where Vasco will be able to attend to the three operas and be part of the Scholarship Programme by Richard Wagner Foundation, which brings more than 200 young musicians and artists from all over the world.
Founded in 1882, the year before of the composer’s death, with the main goal of giving a Bayreuth experience to young talents, the Foundation can claim, as previous Scholarship holders, names like Waltraud Meier, Christian Thielemann, Michael Volle, Petra Lang and Jonas Kaufmann, among many others.
The Programme consists – besides the three operas included in theFestival – in meetings and conferences, one visit to the backstage ofRichard Wagner Theatre and one visit to Wahnfried – the house where the composer lived, on which garden he is buried and where we can also find the Richard Wagner Museum. There will also be a guided city tour and a special concert for the Scholarship holders.
During the five days of the Programme, the participants have the possibility to meet, share contacts, and expand their own contact network with other artists – singers, musicians, stage directors and managers – from the most varied cultures and from all over the world.
